A one-day course – book now!
Date: 13th October 2015
This course has been developed specifically to assist members of the construction industry who would like to familiarise themselves with the obligations and responsibilities arising under the new health and safety regime in Irish Construction.
Health and Safety legislation has developed significantly since the last upsurge in construction in Ireland, in particular with the introduction of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013 and is not a matter to be taken lightly. Health and safety needs to be front of mind in every aspect of construction at all times, and failure to adhere to these regulations can have serious consequences.
This course has been developed specifically to assist members of the construction industry who would like to familiarise themselves with the obligations and responsibilities arising under the new health and safety regime in Irish Construction. Equally, with the recent announcement by the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government that housing is now the number one priority for the Government, this course will prove invaluable to anyone who requires a refresher course in Irish health and safety legislation in construction.
Attendees will leave this CPD certified course with a greater knowledge of the health and safety construction regulations, a greater understanding of the implications of appointing a project supervisor at both the design and construction stage, new implications for homeowners, an overview of case law and recent prosecutions, and much more. Our tutor Fiona Forde, who is a practicing Barrister at Law specialising in Construction Law, will draw on her knowledge and experience and answer any specific queries attendees may have, about how this topic practically relates to them. Attendees will also leave with valuable CPD points, and a full course pack to refer back to at any time.
